Call me Nick Jones. I am a marketing major and videographer in Tyler, Texas. I graduated from Christian Heritage school in 2010 and went straight to The University of Texas at Tyler in Fall 2010 and graduated in May 2015. My senior year of high school, I lost my father to a sudden heart attack, but despite losing Him, used the work ethic He gave me to finish school and get into a prestigious university and make good grades. I have worked several jobs over the last 10 years, including managerial duties as shift leader at Carmike Cinema and Café Manager at Target, Inc. I have 12 years of experience in video filming, directing, editing, and producing which I am eager to utilize as a career.
From 2011-2014, I was a youth leader for the youth group at my church, Colonial Hills Baptist Church. Doing this, I utilized my video skills and realized what a passion and a calling I have for ministry, particularly with youth and children, and making a difference in people's lives. I have a heart for serving and fellowship and using my past and my testimony to teach.
I have a particular passion for video production with a lesser passion and enjoyment in photography, and I have experience in photo-editing and audio editing and mixing. My equipment thus far is a tripod and a Canon Rebel t3i with 2 lenses: the stock 18-55mm lens and the high-quality 1.8 50mm lens. I also have a Sony CyberShot 15 megapixel camera for quick point-and-shoot.
I get the name for this website and my brand from the name WatchHawk, an alias I made up on the internet when I was 12-years-old playing a flash game on coffeebreakarcade.com. This name has since become my digital calling card. Ironically, hawks are my favorite bird and one of my favorite animals.
